I wanted each page to serve as its own voice, independent in typography, photo, aesthetic and layout.

Built from the inside out, every spread its own world, images pulled from my film and digital cameras because screens don't quite hold memories the way print does. As the pages accumulate, a narrative takes shape. All the macro and micro moments, favorite places, songs, restaurants, and the unremarkable Tuesdays that turned out to matter.

Flipping through the pages leads to, “Oh yeah I remember we did that now!”.

This magazine not only provides a creative outlet where I can design without constraints, but allows me to reminisce and recall and archive the many moments we have experienced together.

A love letter with better art direction than anything you could wrap and place under the tree.

My solution? Not a card. Not a new pair of pants he will never wear. Not something practical wrapped in tissue paper.

This Song Reminds Me of Us is a 32-page magazine, created because design is my preferred love language.
