“Through process, presence, and mindfulness I create expressive abstracts on raw canvas. My work is a symphony of bright colors and textures created by utilizing a variety of media and sewing multiple canvases together.
Through a symphony of bright colors and textures, my expressive abstracts create moments rooted in reality where there’s flow, rigidity, joy, dissonance, and the vast number of emotions we feel as humans. Yet when stepping back and viewing the greater picture is where you find the overall harmony and divinity in life. I make use of soak staining and color field techniques coupled with stitching canvas together in a multifariousness approach. I am inspired by the abstract expressionist movement and use a multitude of techniques established in that era. Meditation, mindfulness, and the notion of impermanence are ever present in my work. These ideas have heavily influenced my creative process as well as my life. My work aims to provide a similar sense of relief for the viewer by communicating the flux of life through abstract expressionism.
Using bright colors, additive canvas, and the notions of meditation and presence, my work encourages the viewer to step into an elevated emotional space to feel rather than strictly analyze. The ever-knowing truth that through presence, flow, and intention is where we can find our purpose in this resplendent lifetime.”
