My creative renaissance
I feel like I am at the age where it seems as if every person that appears to be around my age is fully set in their careers, making tons of money, probably owns a home, has a family, etc, etc. Truly looks from the outside that they have a clear path set out for themselves.
It makes me start to question my own experiences. “Am I behind? What even are my skills? What do I want my career to be? How are other people finding their paths so easily?”
It’s the never ending loop I am sure a lot of us feel.
This loop ultimately leads me to the question...
“What am I doing with my life?”
I have taken some time to reflect on this question I always seem to be asking myself, and here are my conclusions:
I need to be creative whatever that looks like.
If I am not creative in some capacity, I will start to perish.
Being creative will lead me to the answers I seek.
If it’s so simple, why have I have been neglecting my creativity? My true essence as a human?
Perception & Perfection
The perception of what others will think of me.
The perfectionist inside of myself who is blocking the creative energy and completion of projects because they “aren’t good enough”.
To be honest, I am kind of fed up of living in this state of questioning myself, comparing myself to my peers, and ruminating on what to do. I clearly know the answers. I simply need to move outside my comfort zone and authentically express myself.
This is my creative renaissance.
A place to express my creativity open and whole heartedly. From design projects to ideas that are inspiring me creatively, to digital or physical media I create, even philosophy and spirituality, honestly anything! The beauty is in the expansiveness and freedom to share whatever.
Truly letting my creative self run wild, but ultimately tying it all back to being a creative.
xoxo,
Emily
